Comments on: Migrating from blogspot to a ‘real’ blog

I have a blogger account hosted at blogspot.com. I have recently changed it over to publish to my website via FTP. When I do this the XML file becomes weird and won’t validate. Here is the message I get:

This feed does not validate.

line 1, column 0: Undefined root element: br

line 2, column 0: XML parsing error: :2:0: junk after document element

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/jaussiet/p …

In addition, this feed has an issue that may cause problems for some users. We recommend fixing this issue.

Any idea why this would happen???

I kind of worked out how to move the blog (and I’ve skinned it.) But how do I ftp to the old altwtf.blogspot.com and mess manually with the index.html page? Any ideas guys?

I managed to get it to work. The problem was I had not filled in all fields under archive settings. Thanks for a good article. You've been Furled Shola I want to fly a hang glider across the UK

This doesn’t seem to work when I try, get permission denied to archive.

Did you encounter any problems moving your blog from blogspot to your domain?
