Within the historic data collected from the MBTI, the functions of thinking vs. feeling is the only variable that has shown a gender trend. About 60% of men reported they are Thinkers, while %60 of women reported they are Feelers.

Their study found that the MBTI type, ESFJ, seemed to represent the majority of these educators: E=51% to 57%; S=53% to 75%; F=55% to 66%; and J= 63%. In the general population, E=75-80%; S=60%; F=65% of females and 35% of males; and J=60%.
