In the preparation of my PromptParlour meetings, I wanted to get an idea of who in Belgian government is responsible for
understanding and forecasting the (exponential) progress of Artificial Intelligence, and its impact on Belgian business, innovation and society.

It’s almost been 6 months, so here we go for the 4th time: I’m starting the preparations for Barcamp Brussels #4.

We have just decided on the location and date for the new Barcamp Brussels:
WHEN: Sunday Sept 24th 2006 (back to back with EurOSCON, GovCamp and DrupalCON)
WHERE: Skynet Lounge, in K-NAL building next to Brussels harbour
As you can guess from the location, Skynet has been confirmed as the principal sponsor again (thx Bart and Clo), which allows us to provide a nice and stimulating surrounding for our speakers/attendees.

Barcamp Brussels: when the day is done • 23 May 2006
And what a day it was! It went by in a rush, without any major mishaps and with lots of smiling people all around. Me, I just ran around on adrenaline and cafeine (probably equal parts), while catching only the occasional 5 minutes of a speech here and there. But at the end of the day: it was a great atmosphere with lots of interesting topics and charming people eager to learn and share. It was everything I hoped it would be, so I’m a happy man.

Last year we organised a fairly successful blogger’s dinner in Brussels, and now we’re going to try something different:
